It helps me so much in my leasons .
Works fine . .A bit small [ the size of a packet of 20 cigs ] the ptice i paid for it was a little expensive .. And my old one was 3 times the size of the new one,, I found it a bit hard to use having hand problems and it beeing small .,,i think i should have had a desk top type calculator not a pocket one . On COLLINS Spellchecker
1. The cover is difficult to open due to poor design. It really needs an indent on the base and facing it an extrusion or similar,to aid opening.
2. The buttons for the letters are much too small for grown up hands and too close to each other.
3. The question mark button (also space button) is much too small for it's importance and should be separate from all the others.
4. Games, calc. My list etc could all be eliminated and replaced with a Thesaurus.
I do not think any of these suggestions will be taken up but my opinion was asked so here it is.

Old technology but still the best!
I have been using Collins SPQ-109s for years for its Word Builder. Of the manufacturers I have tried, it is by far the best and fastest and it is nice to find it is still available to replace one with a keyboard that I have literally worn out. It is a shame that, as far as I know, it is no longer made and no-one has come up with a serious alternative or better model that even meets the same speed. The only problem is that dictionaries do get out of date and some more recent words are missing.

As Franklin have ceased manufacturing the "Scrabblemaster" dictionary model, their Collins spellchecker is very welcome, as it includes almost all of the functions of that model. The one disappointment is that although the spellchecker was purchased very recently, it does not include the 6500 words added to the Collins dictionary in 20 15 - so it is already three years out of date - hence only a 4 star recommendation!Read full review...
