Fabulous look at a lost star

A very good disc worth getting! What we see here is a fascinating look at Freddie Mercury on his own. Of note, the live versions of 'Barcelona', 'How Can I Go On' and 'The Golden Boy' are from October 1987 to celebrate the Olympic flag arriving in Spain, and show a massive performance with Freddie dueting once again with Montserrat Caballé, proving his massive range hinted at during his time with Queen.

My personal favourite videos on this are The Great Pretender (the single version), 'I Was Born to Love You' and 'Time', showing Freddie's humour, love for extravagance and BIG showmanship. 'Made In Heaven', 'Living On My Own', the extended version of 'The Great Pretender' and the actual music video for 'Barcelona' are gems as well.

The only thing which brings this DVD down is the sad lack of a second disc and/or good special features. It depends if you're interested, but I found that the director interviews, while good, stood alone as the only extras of the disc.

Still, a must see for a Queen or Freddie Mercury fan! 4/5Read full review...

Freddie - There can be only one.............

If you are a Freddie fan you have to have this whatever... As a big Freddie / Queen fan I love most of it - but there is a downside & I must say I whizz the DVD on when I come to the ones he does with Montserrat Caballe - just can't get my head round them, they really don't do it for me - but the upside is the rest are brilliant, there is absolutely no-one that can compete with Freddie - his singing & imagination on the DVD are on par with the Queen DVDs & there really is some great entertainment -you will definitely watch it over & over again (I have).......
