Free style handmade bags and skirts

I love this book the skirt are wonderful. Artsy, casual, Trendy, sporty, classic its all there. I have done one bag it took little time really. I went and picked up two colors of mesh fabric today for sporty skirts, the one with the contrasting lining that shows through. Im going to put reflective jogging tape down a side of one for fun. The other skirt will get a little patch of a cheerleaders megaphone. The photos are artfully minded and the book excites me to sew and be creative thinking outside the pattern box. The only things I did not care for is that the directions are a little on the small side and not as easily understood as say the basic pattern from the store like say Simplicity or McCall's, but thats the point is to get rid of the cumbersome task of cutting(paying good money for too)and following the paper patterns. This leaves more room for creativity and self expression. I think once I get used to the type of directions it will be easy. The photos are beautiful but wish I had more angles to look at the deatiling of the sewn display. The skirt direction do cover all styles of skirt... I found out as 2 of my co-workers have now kidnapped my copy of this book and I'M WAITING...LOL...One found the skirt pattern for THE skirt she has been looking for since high school! The other works in a dept. store fabrics and crafts section and she found THE ONLY style of skirt she likes! So thats my review... Love the book!! and so do my co-workers.Read full review...
