Great radio!
If you prep, this would be a fine addition to your preps! If you have a barrel connector to usb, you can run this using a solar panel. At night, you could wire up a battery, and run it from the battery, or you could use the crank. You wind it up, and it works for 20 minutes, using the dynamo. They've been around for awhile, so they're pretty reliable. Plus, with the shortwave, you don't have to limit yourself to just AM/FM radio.Read full review
BayGen free play radio. The big one
I've owned a few of these radios. They're the best wind ups on the market. I use them all the time out doors and even in the house. Camping, fishing, yard work! They rock. Wish I could find them at the stores I shop in.Read full review

These older Freeplays are better than the new ones. A must have in each household.
