A remarkably effective press
Garlic is pulverised much more thoroughly by this device than some other designs and, being all metal, it is likely to last longer.
I had not previously come upon one with cast pins that mesh into the holes through which the garlic is pressed. Excellent idea.
My only criticism is that the two parts are linked by a permanent hinge: a design weakness and a feature that makes it less easy to clean.Read full review...

Good size just watch out for pinching handles
Loved everything about this garlic press until I squeezed down on the handles and trapped my skin in the hollow handles.
I had read this could happen on previous reviews and thought I was being careful but it still caught me out!

Well made, solid, and with the pronged press-pad makes full use of the garlic, as well as being easy to clean, simply rinsing under the tap.

Although this item is of good quality, the most important part of it, that is, the parts that actually touch the food, do not appear to be made of stainless steel. I wanted a fully stainless steel garlic press so that no metallic coatings or other potential contaminant metals would end up in my food. We purchased an aluminium Zyliss Garlic press over 30 years ago from Harrods and it still works to this day. Unfortunately it became dulled because we put it in the dishwasher.
