Sly and the family Stone Fresh CD

Sly's best album in his second period. A lot more calm and focused than "Riot". Standouts are "In Time", "If you want me to stay", "Skin I'm in", an odd take on Doris Day's "Que Sera Sera", and "Babies Makin' Babies". The latter song shows how Sly was far ahead of his time. Also of note is the message on "Thankful 'N Thoughtful", which speaks about what we're living with now in this pandemic. Overall, it's a must have for your collection if you're a Sly and the family Stone fan.Read full review
