Quite simply, one of the best series ever shown on TV. Great writing and acting, compelling and sympathetic characters, dramatic as well as humorous, touching at times, beautifully designed, filmed, and directed. Kyle Chandler is perfect as the Texas high school football coach: intelligent, attractive, positive and supportive, disciplined and demanding. Connie Britton is also perfect as his intelligent and caring wife. There are too many wonderful characters to mention, but Zach Gilford, Taylor Kitsch, and Scott Porter are exemplary, multi-faceted young men who grow throughout the series.
