Control moisture yes
I like the look very easy to operate. This dehumidifier works great. I could not believe the amount of water it pull out of the air in my basement in less than 12 hrs. So much better than any dehumidifier that I’ve had. The hose work good as well less emptying of the bucket. This unit is awesome. I wish I had this sooner. Fast delivery. This is a good brand. I recommend to all that want quality an a unit that gets the job done. People if you have any unit that’s silent then it’s not circulating the air enough to get er done. Tire you can put it on low but it has to run longer to do what it can do on high. Put some ear pugs on and let the unit do it’s job. I would give the unit a 10 on all the functions and the quality performance. Go Frigidaire.

Effective
I bought this to assist the central a/c & maybe cut down on the electricity bill. Nice portable size to be effective and unobtrusive. Seems to extract a lot of water (Houston hot & muggy), the bin is full every day when ran on continuous. However I did not realize that after taking IN air from the room it has to blow it out. Strong air current exhaust from the top which is warmer than the a/c cooled air in the room. So I'm not to happy about that. Louder than a floor fan too. Read full review

Good dehumidifier, BUT…
I had a Frigidaire dehumidifier for the past ten years. Worked great. It finally died. Went to replace it with the closest thing I could find within the brand, which was this unit. Works great and quiet, BUT it doesn’t pull moisture out of the air as well as the old unit, even when on max. Read full review

I use this in my 500 square foot shop. Quickly brings the humidity down from 80% to 45% here in Florida. I like the air discharge. It blows up so the air circulates really well.
My shop is a really dirty environment so I expect to only get 2 years out of this unit. I am on my third dehumidifier (different brands) This one is the best and I hope to buy another one when this one gets all clogged up from plasma dust and powder coat dust. Works great, but you must be creative to deal with the noise level.
Effective, easy to use, easy to remove the water. The sound works if you are in a different room. But it's way too loud to be the the same room during the day or sleep with it in your bedroom at night. It has wheels and is easy to move. So bedroom during the day and living room at night is my solution to the high noise level. I did tons of research before I bought this make and model. "Clean Filter" Light
This machine looks and operates well in every way except that the "Clean Filter" light went on within 24 hours of operation and burns continuously. I cleaned the filter thoroughly and often, but the light stays on. I don't like this,but have been willing to consider it a minor distraction, since it appears to function well in all other respects. Other than a small amount of fan noise, works very well. Usually hear compressor noise on other dehumidifiers, fan sound covers that up. And fan speed has 3 speeds to quiet it down if necessary!

Frigidaire dehumidifier
I have had several off brand dehumidifiers from the large home center

I was desperate hoping this one would work. I have an older home with a crawl space laden with moisture and that musky smell. I am currently in a major remodel of this old home and found it difficult to even work in the partial basement. I would begin sweating instantly when starting to work fortifying the floor system. This little gem has saved the day! I empty a full tank of water every day and can feel the difference. Have gone from 85 to 60 percent humidity in a week. Ground barriers will be installed but in the meantime it has been a life saver. Even the 'smell' is leaving. Great Humidfier - 2 months later.
This Frigidaire is great for the basement. It does the job removing the moisture. It fan on either low or high is a little bit noisy. But much quieter than my 35 year old Amana. I do not recommend locating this unit near or in the bedroom or where you want to have a quiet space. However, it does generate a white noise the drowns out other noises and conversations. Been using it several weeks and have emptied the tank about 6 times. Keeps the basement around 40%. Read full review
