This is a disappointing cheapened version Of the original. Frigidaire makes good equipment but somebody is expecting profit by making every part cheaper and cheaper. doing its job!

I've only had this for a month or so but it is working great! Very quiet. I used to be able to hear my old humidifier in my basement, but I can't hear this one at all. Sometimes I forget my new one is down there, it's that quiet! Rolls around very easy if you need that feature. I connected a hose to mine so it can drain directly and that was a breeze to hook up. I haven't cleaned the filter yet, but it pulls out with ease. I have a terribly wet basement. I may actually have a spring under my house. A bit bulky for moving around, but WORTH IT

We had a HUGE problem with condensation in our condo bathroom. Shoddy insulation in that room makes condensation a problem even in summer months! Running this dehumidifier in the bathroom a few times a day (It has a timer setting, so you can set it and forget it, so to speak) solved that problem with huge success. After a day's worth of running at various times, including after hubby's notorious long, hot shower, the bucket is half full every day! And it is NOT difficult to take the bucket out and empty it, not as some people have indicated. Not if you empty it every day, and really, how difficult is that, honestly? When we have room in budget, we plan on getting a second one, as this also works for removing excess moisture from our other rooms.Read full review

What a great treasure!

Removed moisture quickly.

I live in Michigan. It is winter and even with forced hot air from the furnace I still had severe moisture problem in my home. All the windows even though double paned had water dripping on them. I had literal moisture that I could wipe off with a cloth on some of my walls. The second day of having this unit the windows and wall were dry. My house is 2100 sq ft colonial so I did purchase a smaller unit for the upstairs also which is about 900 of the sq ft. I am sure I will have to have a home inspection to determine why the increase in moisture but until spring I needed to remove the moisture before mold set in and this unit did that job quickly. The only sound it makes is the fan and I like hearing it because when it stops I know the water tank is full and needs to be emptied.
