I purchased this unit and it leaked after using it only a week or two. Was offered a replacement. We adjusted the float and it stopped leaking - TEMPORARILY, so we did not ship it back. The unit is new and all I expected. I put it a basement room next to the furnace/AC unit. My idea was to reduce the humidity in this area so that the AC unit in receiving recirculated air was less humid as it mixed with room air. The air now surrounding the dehumidifier is drier and warmer (due to the heat from the air of the dehumidified exhaust air). My fuel bills for thet last two months are lower than normal. I am waiting to see if the idea of reducing the humidity before the recycled air enters the cooling coil chamber reduces the electric portion of the fuel bill during the hot months of July and August. I leave the dehumidifier on continuous service with reduced fan speed and it keeps the humidity low (39-45).Read full review
