So far, we have been very pleased with the IX500 scanner. It looked almost brand new and has worked really well. It scans documents (one orctwo sided) rapidly and the quality of the scanned documents is excellent. Also no issues downloading the software to set up the scanner initially. Workhorse, small, fast, portable scanner. No longer produced it's replacement doesn't get as good ratings and doesn't look as cool. Wireless and usb. Has built in ASIC microchips that process OCR reduces load on PC and relies less on software to do the job increadibly fast. Built primarily for page documents scans both sides at once. Requires special clear carrier envelope for small receipts , id cards, or photos. Usually
not included when you buy it used. Sometimes you get lucky as it's a $35 specialty item.

Excellent and fast document scanner

I bought this scanner to digitize files and piles of documents. It is very fast - it takes far longer to remove staples and paper clips before scanning than it does to scan the documents. The paper handling is excellent, including recognizing that it pulled two pages at once and letting you fix and rescan the pages in sequence. I also love that it scans both sides at the same time, and recognizes (and removes) blank pages from the final document. All round excellent scanner for my document scanning needs.Read full review

These units have superior performance over the Neat and Isis solutions. The fact that you can use it when it is connected to you PC, or via the Wi-Fi network is great. What a way to save time on scanning!!!

This scanner lives up to everything that it says it can do. Also comes with adobe acrobat to help you organize your documents. The scanner works a little faster when it is wired but I did most of my scanning on a wireless network and it was still very fast. The better the wireless router the quicker it will scan.

I always said time is one commodity you cannot buy more of but, this scanner saves so much time above a traditional scanner I almost feel like I did. After scanning 2 years of records in two days I am very impressed. If you want to go with a paperless record keeping system this is the way to go.Read full review

I love my IX500

I am beyond happy with my decision to finally buy a IX500 scanner. It is hard to justify an investment over $300+ dollars when my SnapScan i300 was perfectly scanning. The difference is once you have the IX500 setup and load it with a handful of paper...It scans so fast, double sided, without a paper jam. There is a difference in the feeder. Very good desktop scanner

The scanner works well. It readily recognized a taped receipt on a page, indicating a "double feed" and allowed me to bypass. I had trouble connecting to my wi-fi and called Fujitsu, a native English speaking man worked with me until it was connected (the problem was in my system). I didn't have to wait long.

The only thing I'd fix in the software is that you must file a document before you scan a new document. That is you can't scan three docs and then file the three docs separately. This would not seem to be a big software problem to overcome in the next edition.

I'm very pleased and would recommend this scanner to anyone for single person use.Read full review

This product is absolutely fantastic. Direct plug and play setup - which is surprising considering the scan server is a LINUX machine. No issues, at all. It's fully supported by SANE, for any *NIX users.

Materially, the units supports full duplex scanning or single scanning from either channel. feed speed is lightning fast and jam free.

A speedy two sided scanner

I bought this to upgrade my much older scansnap. I am much happier with the speed particularly when scanning photos. It does a great job with the resolution and colours. I also use it to scan documents and i like that it scans multiple pages and two sided.Read full review
