Ballast Spreader. How i use it.

Easy to fill and use, even great going around corners.

Only fault is the ballast holder or container could be larger to overcome constant filling
especially when leaning over to tackle difficult areas.

I overcome this problem by making a plastic extension to fit inside.

As I said a great very handy item making ballasting a lot more simpler and much easier.

Ballast hopper

Purchased this to put ballast on 00 gauge rail track, not impressed, I was hoping that this device would distribute ballast in an even fashion onto rail track but it didn’t work for me, I tried different methods to get it to put ballast onto the the track evenly but I found the device difficult to use. In my view it’s a waste of money and in the end I reverted to my trusty teaspoon to place ballast on the track and then spread the ballast with a small paint brush which was easier, cheaper and less time consuming.Read full review...
