Very handy for long rides and tours

well made tank bag, very handy for long rides and m'bike tours. I kept my disc lock, compact camera, a 500ml water bottle, plus some power cables for phone and helmet cam all in the tank bag. Easy access, saves dismounting from bike to open top-box just to take take a swig of water. Keeping the disc lock in it meant that too was easier to access if I needed to park up for a short while, and also helped to re-centre the weight distribution from the back end of the bike. I used a cable-tie through the carry-handle and around the handlebar to secure it further. It meant I could dismount and walk away from bike for a while and not worry too much someone might try to remove the bag.Read full review...

Pointless accessory

Was hoping this to be easier fit. It doesn't fit the tank as well as expected and the magnets aren't strong enough so you either have to strap it to the bike which is pointless as you need to unstrap it to access fuel filler cap or use the very wide and uneccesarily long strap to secure it to handlebar. The main compartment is tiny, again only useful for passport and documents but then you wouldn't want to leave that strapped to the bike so you have to unstrap it when you leave the bag, you're then left with very long straps dangling. The so called phone holder is too small my Samsung galaxy note 4 will just fit width ways but doesn't go all the way in. Considering most mobiles are 5" this is a pointless compartment. It also gets condensated easily. There is no access port for a charger lead or headphones.

Overall, pretty useless unless you want somewhere to put a pack of chewing gum and Nokia phone built in 2005!!

Quality Product

Magnetic's could be bigger, with perhaps one at the top rather than just the sides.
The only way to pull the top down the the level of the tank is to tighten the bar strap.
As I take the bag off with every trip, of which some are short the extra afore mentioned Top Magnet would be an advantage, rather than strapping it down with the numerous straps provided.

Other than these few points it's a great bag, and true Givi quality.

Useful Small Tank Bag

Do not buy this if you are expecting a big bag. It is just a small tank bag. It is handy for storing a few things to save you rummaging through pockets. It is well made and the magnets are plenty strong enough to stop it sliding around. I use it on my Gen 5 VFR and it stay in place nicely. I bought it with the intention of using the see through pocket on top to hold my phone so I can use it for SATNAV. In the real world, the material is too shiny to see the screen through and it is almost impossible to see past the glare. I might try giving it a very light rub with some wet and dry to see it it fixes that. You wont fit a big modern phone in it, but my 2020 Iphone SE fits perfectly. The zips are good quality and easy to use with gloves on. There is enough space in it for some essentials. A bit pricey at £35, but it is well made.Read full review...

Practical Accessory

I wear a tight textile jacket & having had the misfortune to come off in the past any bulky pocket content will add to the bruise count or worse. Bag holds wallet, keys, 2 mobiles a battery back up for phones & a sandwich in wrapper comfortably. View window is ideal for mobile although I wouldn’t recommend over a handlebar mount if using as a SatNav. Magnets hold fine & I chose to wrap the clip on strap around the handlebar yolk so nice & secure at motorway speeds +. I commute daily 20+ miles each way over a combination of motorway & twisty B roads, works for me & recommended 👍 would get 5 stars if waterproof but does come with a cover so overall a good buyRead full review...

Useful, convenient addition to your bike.

This tank bag is really more of a useful holder for small items than a full blown tank bag and is so handy for quick access to your wallet, phone, passport and coins when on the go. It doesn't get in the way of your instruments and is removed in seconds to use as a "man-bag". It will hold a negligible amount of "luggage" but that's not it's real aim. I'm very pleased with the quality of its construction and design. Well worth the small amount of financial investment.Read full review...

Useful item with one drawback

Used this in a recent tour of Scotland. It’s a perfect size and fitted my Africa Twin well. My tank picked up a couple of scratches sadly as it must have got some grit underneath it during bad weather. The one downside is that it’s not waterproof. It comes with a cover but when you’re caught on a motorway in a sudden downpour it’s not practical to stop. In dry weather use its ideal but I’ve had to mark it down one star due to the weatherproofing. Read full review...

Top little tank-bag

I Like the tank-bag and found it very useful on my recent trip to France, there are however a few improvements i would have liked.
One being an extra magnet underneath the front
another being a double zip on the little pocket (like on the large pocket) so you can quickly look down and see the two yellow zippers and be safe knowing your not going to loose your wallet.
But all in all its a good product and very easy to carry around with the shoulder strap.

Good quality but not waterproof

The product is what I expected after reading other reviews and served me well during a week touring Scotland. I kept notes on directions in the transparent top case plus things I wanted to be able to access quickly in the two compartments provided - snacks, locks etc. The bag stayed in place on the tank the whole week and did not leave any scratches. I would have given it five stars if it was waterproof but it isn't.Read full review...

Phone size is a iphone 6 max! or equivalent of course!!

Hi all, A good quality as you would expect but the clear window for phone is the size of an iphone 6s and NO BIGGER!
Please remember as a few reviews have said its too small for the newer and bigger ones (and they are correct!)
The window velcro's up so if you put a bigger phone in, it'll possibly slide down into the bag as its not done up inside.
No hole for the power in which would have been nice but thats it really as its a givi and therefore great.
Magnets are strong enough for behind a screen (i have a hayabusa) but i could see them struggling on a naked bike due to wind blast etc but the headstock strap is pretty long.
Instant access to cards and money so going to be a must have i think.
