The Official Guide for GMAT Review (2005)

I love the order of the material. The diagnostic tests come at the beginning of the book and really highlight your problem areas. The sample questions are then ordered from easy to hard so that you can build up your confidence in answering questions.

I decided to buy this book because it is the official review from the GMAT from the makers of the test and, therefore, I would be guaranteed to be covering similar material to that on the test.

I think that is a great book.

Great Practice

Great practice problems from the creators of the test. A must have to prepare for the GMAT.

One Downside: too many easy problems. If you are shooting for a good score, only the last 20% of each section will be relevant. Be sure to take the practice tests from mba.com. They are more similar to the real exam (in my opinion) than either Princton Review or Kaplan GMAT CAT simulations.Read full review...

Must read book to study for GMAT

I took GMAT in May 2008 and got 690 score. The 3 books I studied were this one, Princeton Preview and Kaplan, out of which, this one is the best because it gave me the real test questions, made me feel more confident. Princeton Preview is ia must have book too. kaplan is just average. i also study Barron, but just a little bit because I think it's a below average book.

Good luck with your test

GMAT Review

It is hard to say something good about the textbook needed for school. I didn't get it by choice or by interest. I bought it since it is helpful in studying for the exam.I was advised to get it as the best source to prepare for the GMAT. Once I take it and pass I will know better.
