Apparently this does not convert my Danone without a special tail piece.
I was under the impression this product would convert your guitar into sounding like a sitar. It doesn't seem to do this on my Dan Electro without additional hardware (tail piece). Without this there is no place to attach the strings. Apparently I wasted my money.Read full review

Does the Job
This is not a drop in replacement for every danelectro..I used it to convert a longhorn"korean" and some modification was needed as the holes for the bridge screws are slightly off.
It does a great job regarding the Sitar Sound, Very impressed.

Sounds like a sitar
I installed this on a Danelectro DC-59 electric guitar (model from ca 2007) and it REALLY made it sound like a sitar, perfect buzz, warm and crisp at the same time, with a hint of that flange-like dronephase. It's NOT very easy to intonate, though. You'll have to compromise between action, buzz and tonality.Read full review

Adjustment
It’s great but need adjustment carefully. I had to cut springs to make bridge lower. Screws are place from upper side and springs push up from underneath is not good idea. Doneletro’s original bridge place on screws is much better idea and instructions for adjust bridge needed
