Lovely bright screen & plenty of power for videos, TV, whatever. Mostly used for reading books, mags etc for details so easy on the old eyes. Not as solid as my old Tab 2 so I won't sit on it.

Samsung do it again.
The Tab S is a great improvement over my Tab 2. Both have 10" screens but the Tab S is so much quicker and more responsive. The display is incredible - great for watching video. I've heard a lot of complaints about the fingerprint recognition but to be honest it seems to work well once you get the knack of using it. My only complaint would be that the capacitive buttons, which are fixed, can be accidently pressed when holding the Tab's frame, something not easily done on the Tab 2 as they were on screen and moved position depending on orientation.
The Tab S is extremely thin and light to hold making it a pleasure to use.
Chargeing time can be long if you use a standard USB cable and a low powered charger. Make sure you use a fast charge cable (ULTRICS) and a charger that can kick out at least 2amps this will get it down to about 3 hours.

Have had this tablet in both sizes for about 2 years now.
Amazing screen quality and battery life. No lag, apps and browsers all running smoothly.
So lightweight but has a solid premium feel to it.
Looks great in either Dazzling White or Titanium Bronze; I couldn't decided so I have the 8.4 in Bronze and the 10.5 in White.
When the Tab S2 came out; I read the reviews and watched lots of demos online. In my opinion was not worth the upgrade as the Tab S looks so much nicer and really not much else was don't to enhance it.

It's not 'better than expected' - don't put words in my mouth. It's just OK. The battery duration lets it down and it's difficult to put in a lead to charge it.

It's a shame all tablets are 4:3 nowadays, they are rubbish for watching movies. This is still the best tablet in the world if your primary function is to watch TV movies etc.
