Oscar winning true story of the life of Mahatma Gandhi, who was killed by an activist shortly after India gained full independence from Britain (he died in 1948). Directed by Richard Attenborough, it follows Gandhi's story from his early adult life in South Africa, where he fought for freedoms for Indian citizens, and then moved on to his major life's work In India. it is an epic film with a remarkable performance of Ben Kingsley as Ghandi. Sweeping views of India's deserts, plains and cities form the backdrop.

I bought this product due to my interest in history and as I am a fan of Ben Kingsley and Richard Attenborough. This movie is an excellent biography of Gandhi and well worth a watch. It's a perfect mix of entertainment and history. It is the best biopic I've come accross.Read full review...
