Cannot adjust brass nozzle - weak pressure

The spray pattern cannot be adjusted - the brass nozzle rotates but does nothing. It's either a design or quality problem.

The pressure from this spray gun is quite weak compared with other guns I have used - I can barely reach 6 - 7 metres away.

I suspect there is a defect in the brass nozzle and as the outlet cannot be restricted by adjustment the pressure/water throw is limited.
