I've got two old Garmin Heart rate straps & wanted to see if I could get some more life out of them before buying a brand new one. Came across this seller and was a bit sceptical that these clips would work but figured for the price I had nothing to lose. Used both clips with my old heart rate straps on runs this weekend & they both work like a charm. Very happy & thinking to buy another one as a back up for when the inevitable happens as Garmin tech isn't built to last! 100% recommend. Read full review...

Pretty good if you do low to moderate exercise.

The Good: At low intensity workouts, this is very accurate. It connects well via Bluetooth with both my Sony phone and Samsung tablet. I used 'myworkouts' app which it tried and tested and is 4.7/5 on playstore (200k downloads).

The Bad: Once you start pushing it, 160bpm and higher, it will do one of the 3 following:
1. Report accurately,
2. Report less than 130bpm
3. Not report anything!

I put the failure down to the contact pads moving on my chest whilst doing P90X home workouts; despite losening/tightening, wetting with water and with ultrasound gel, changing the battery (for completeness). But it could be that it fails to pick up my heart rate when it's racing - the reason that I bought it!

For example, when doing Plyometrics or other heavy cardio, I push it hard. My pulse, measured by counting beats per 15, 30 or 60 secs, is often 170 to max 180bpm. However, the hrm only registers 140-155 which is way out! Sometimes will measure 180bpm accurately, other times will measure 130bpm.

When doing weights, my heart rate gets above 160bpm for short time periods only. I can confirm that the hrm matches exactly and accurately my actual pulse measured by the old fashioned way of pulse counting and a timer.

I have not tested this while running. I suspect it will be as inaccurate at high heart rate due to it moving about but I can't be sure. I don't want to quibble over twenty quid as this is OK for the price.

Good value

I paid the extra few pounds for the boxed version with instructions. Don’t bother the instructions are useless. It’s straight forward connecting it to your Garmin device or other type of sports computer. Works well and the results show up on strava when I uploaded them from my Garmin Read full review...

Good value; works well so far.

Early days, and I haven't used it in water yet, but it seems to work well, is light and comfortable, and about a third of the price of the big brands.

Great product

Purchased this to use with my Garmin 735 but also wanted a device I could use with my phone, both of which it does faultlessly. Stays in place, comfortable and connects quickly . Recommend.

Slim, lightweight, keeps working and connects easily.

It does what you expect. It tracks your heart rate and connects easily to fitness apps. The device itself is also thinner and lighter than many others I have tried. It pairs successfully with both iOS and Android devices. In contrast to some recent purchases of similar items, it keeps tracking even on very long sessions - I've had no problems on 2.5 hour cycle rides.Read full review...

Best value, works with all my watches

Brilliant kit.
This very reasonably priced belt is half the price of others yet works just as well. It pairs up with my suunto Travis, and my recent acquisition-a Garmin instinct. Arrived with a battery already fitted.
Fast pairing, worked straight away.
Only had basic bubble wrap packing but who needs a box you only throw away! Worth the buy.

Good item, glad.

It works fine. I put in the new battery that came with it (using the tool that also came with it) straightaway. Paired up easily. Strap is good as new to my eyes.
