Life saver!
Very happy with this
The original trackpad on my Macbook Pro started playing up and even after taking out to clean it wasn't working as it should so had no choice but to replace it.
I bought this because it was much cheaper than most and other reviews really gave me a bit more confidence in what I was buying. I'm not 100% sure this is a genuine Apple part, but the quality seems very good, construction looks the same as the one I took out and it works just as well as the original did when new. So far so good, we will see how it stands up over time.
As others have said fitting the track pad can be a bit involved. You could as others have said remove the ribbon cable (which is glued in place) and just swap the track pad over easily if you are careful.
If you want to replace both the track pad and the cable like I did its easy enough but there are a lot of screws and connectors to remove as you basically have to remove the logic board. There are great guides on how to do this on the ifixit website, an absolute must read if you want to do this job! Just take your time follow the guide and label all of the screws and you will be fine!

Fits perfectly and really good quality
Bought this for my daughters Macbook Uni body Pro ....after the original battery decided to swell and cracked the track pad. It fitted perfectly l also found a work around for fitting some of these models require the removal of the mother board in order to reach where the track pad cable connects. Which
involves disconnecting just about everything to remove it, some of the connections are really flimsy and l reckon easy to break. However if you are really careful and l mean really gentle, you can ease the cable from the old track pad and then insert it into the new one! Which just requires removal of the battery and then the old trackpad . (Providing the old cable functions) l have stripped lots of laptops down before and can honestly say l am not over impressed with Apple build quality ...from over function then.
