Repair to my boat engine water pump
I had a bad leak on the water pump on my BMC 1.8 and knew it needed replacing.
Having done some research I realized that I did not need to get a replacement from a marine supplier as the engine is basically a marinised Sherpa van engine.
Was quite easy to fit, but was advised to take note of which holes the bolts came from as they were all different lengths. Also the bolts that came off the old pulley wheel were the old imperial AF, where as the replacement pump was M6.
All in all a good purchase, and about £50 cheaper than one from a marine supplier.
