"O" Ring Purchase & Fitting

Let me stary by saying I let other people make up their own minds as per "recommendations"

As I have experience with very specialised "O" rings and fitting I can say I found this "O" ring good quality and suitable for the required use on my Vauxhall Astra

I might have liked to have seen "fitting instructions" for mounting correctly onto the oil filler cap ( incorrect "threading of an O ring damages the ne O ring!). A mention on how to remove the defective "O" ring. Nor was there a mention to lubricate the new O ring before fitting "sparingly" with either clean oil or silicone grease, would also have been good?

Stopped the oil leaking out of my rocker box.

I own a Vauxhall zafira and had noticed smoke poring out from under the bonnet while on a run to hospital to take my mother in law for cancer treatment. I stoped to find oil leaking out of rocker box. Contacted my son who told me what I needed. Bought one of theses. Easy fix for leaky oil caps

If your oil cap is leaking, no need to buy a complete one ... just replace the seal. Saves you at least a tenner and easy to fit! Genuine GM part.
