Just different enough

Ghostwire Tokyo has all the traits and conventions of a generic open world game and definitely fails in the horror department, however it's unique selling points are just able to shine through and make it a memorable experience.

The infusion of Japanese culture and history into the the gameplay helps it stand out and finds its own voice. Combat is simple but consistently satisfying and visually exciting.

The side activities are mostly fun and simply exploring this immensely detailed rendition of Tokyo is a joy that never gets old. The story is a little short but comes to an unexpectedly emotionally satisfying conclusion.Read full review
