Great smart garage opener
To start off this device is great and I would definitely recommend it, you need very little diy skills to install it and get it working. I have tried the chamberlain garage door opener and that device was horrible so coming from that I have to say the device is great shows accurately whether the door is open or closed also works with opening or closing the door whether it is from ifttt or from SmartThings app. The small sensor was easy to pair and mount and I cannot be happier, small price to pay for not having to think that I left the garage door open.Read full review

Does not work with Alexa via ADT Pulse
Ok so the device itself works fine. But unfortunately I cannot find a way to get Amazon Alexa to control my garage door. I MUST control it via the ADT Pulse App, which defeats the purpose of the Alexa control. Its ok to be able to control it via the app, but I purchased this specifically to be controlled via my Amazon Alexa Echo Dot.

Excellent Z-Wave Garage Door Opener/Closer
I have this connected to my SmartThings installation. My kids constantly leave the garage door opened at night. I now have it set to auto close after the garage motion sensor is inactive for 15 minutes, but only after 10pm. It was easy to install and set up (pair it before hanging it in the garage). Easy to install and works great!
The GD00Z will work with any garage door opener that can be triggered with a standard momentary-contact normally-open pushbutton switch. In my case, I am using it with a Sommer (DirectDrive) Synoris opener and it was no problem at all. Check Linear's compatibility chart and/or contact the opener manufacturer before purchasing. The only criticism that I have for the product is that the tilt sensor that attaches at the top of the garage door seems slow to wake up and transmit it's status. I am using the door open/close status to trigger the garage lights when the door opens at night and the delay is at least 10 seconds.
Linear also manufactures a number of remotes and receivers. It would be nice it there was an optional receiver module that could just plug into the GD00Z. The Sommer remotes are horrendous (no range, tiny, recessed buttons that can't be located by touch, etc) and I would love to replace them with better remotes designed for human use. I could do that if I could add a receiver module to the GD00Z and just abandon the Sommer remotes.Read full review

Does the job

Great product , instructions need some work
Installed the GoControl on Sunday. What should have been 30 min install turned into 2 hours.
Instructions are very limited an exclude some key steps in the process.
After researching message boards, found a few users who have been down the same path and were kind enough to post their tips for success!
It works great!
Only downside is this model did not have notification features.
