Great little cake book

After staying at a B and B where the landlady served us a particularly scrumptious carrot cake she lent me her copy of this book. I was so intrigued to see many recipes used fresh fruit that I eventually purchased my own copy. I have since had so many compliments on cakes from this book.
I got this copy for my mum who still loves to bake at 90! She liked the full colour illustrations of each cake and the easy melt butter with sugar on the stove method of some of the cakes. This method was a revelation to her and a great help for arthritic hands.
There is a great selection of different types of cake from large to muffins , tray bakes and tea loaves and also some biscuits. Perfect for inspiration for those special visitors and also for fundraising.
It is a very small book so easy to fit on the work surface or stow in a bag.

This is a very useful little book for those who like some of the classic favourites. Many of the recipes are quite straightforward and easy to follow. Some of the recipes are low in fat and sugar and use more natural forms like carrots and apples.Read full review...
