Goodmans freeview box

Find Goodman products very reliable, easy to set up and very easy to use, just what I was looking for, and very good value for money.

Awful operating system

Dreadful operating system. Bad to navigate. Bad display, very difficult to see because of very small writing on a red background. Only has HDMI connectivity. No SCART therefore not able to handshake with SMART TV operating system.
Whoever designed this system needs to consider an alternative career.

Only purchased as I needed a speedy replacement. This will be replaced by a better brand. The only problem will be how do I check out the operating performance without a demonstration before purchase?

little black box

straight forward and easy to set up still working my way through operating instructions, as this model is different to a different to previous machine there are a few irritating issues... cant just press in a channel to change to in the guide have to work through to numbers, don't appear to be able to stop a recording in progress and have to work through page of recordings as screen info limited due to space.... but generally okRead full review

problems with recorder Goodmans type GD11FVRSD50 Freeview recorder

This unit is particularly susceptible to out of band interference even when other tv equipment shows a good to very good aerial signal. The symptoms are picture break-up, loss of sound and pixelation together with loss of sync. The only cure I found was to insert a UHF bandpass filter (channels 21-63) close to the aerial input of the recorder.
Please note that I also have a Goodmans HD modelGV101YRH32 and this works perfectly without the need of a bandpass filter off the same tv aerial signal!

Does the job

This was a refurbished product. This works very well the only thing that tskesva bit of grasping is the hand control as the buttons do not correspond with function and has taken me a while to match up

Good freeview recorder

It worked well for a while, was slow to install or change channels. I was able to record two channels at once or watch one and record another, which I was pleased about. Also it has serious link or program record timers, for recording on demand. Read full review

Recording box.

Have had a few probs with this box but all may not be it's fault. It makes a cracking noise and then the volume goes low( every couple of days. Sometimes a recording won't stop and continues filling up Memory
The only way to stop it I discovered is to switch power off. Otherwise it is easy to use.

Dated PVR

Bought this for a non tech savvy friend. It is an old fashioned recorder, not connected to the internet. So just what was required, does the job well.
