Almost perfect

When it comes to the remote controlling the TV, it only has 6 codes for each brand. Unfortunately I cannot use the remote to control my JVC TV.

However I did manage to connect it to the LG sound Bar. So I can control the volume.

The standard ChromeCast is great but it’s pretty naff as it’s just adds a kind of wireless connectivity to a device. I’m glad to say the ChromeCast with TV goes that one stage further and adds smart TV applications and a fun to use GUI (graphical user interface). After initial registration to the various services you’re free to roam BBC iPlayer to Netflix to VLC. Google TV is great.

Coming from a previous Chromecast, first generation, I was really looking forward for the latest iteration of this Google marvel. And it doesn't disappoint. It's quick, it's intelligent, it's a great addition to your TV. And my TV it's already "intelligent" but it gives me a few more options. One of them it's Plex. Near perfect

Easy to use and set up. Performs well. The remote is super convienient.

The only things I don't like is I can't pin my regular apps to the main screen - the default view is 'we recommend' and the recommendations are spread across many apps, some of which I am not signed up for and have no intention of ever doing so.

Also the option to display all my photos is concerning. I think I have it turned off, but I certainly don't want my photos displayed on TV!

Great quality, slow to setup and I am quite tech savvy

Took quite a while getting it connected. Works really well though.

What I dont like is the small size of the controller, I didn't think I had particularly big hands! Plus when connected to a bluetooth module, the volume on the controller is off or about 75%. I have to use the Google Home app on the phone for fine adjustment of volume.

Otherwise very happy, great way of turning a monitor or a projector into a TV when needed.
