Excellent speed and better coverage

The Google WiFi solution is very good, it makes it very possible to stream multiple devices ( sometimes there's 15 on the network) and it manages them very well. It's much more effective at sharing the bandwidth and the priority device feature is a great touch too.

It provides the full speed my virgin line can provide, easily reaching over 200MBs.

I will be upgrading and buying one more device though, as I've got a large house, but the Google WiFi does the job better on it's own than any other WiFi router I've had before

Excited and then very disappointed

I was fed up with the poor reliability and performance of the TalkTalk DSL router/WiFi access point. The TalkTalk unit did have the range to cover my tiny 2 bedroom flat and never dropped connections but other than that it sucked. The google WiFi looked brilliant and I figured i would get a single unit and then add more when i moved back into my house. Alas the range was terrible (maybe 2/3 to 1/2 of the TalkTalk unit) and the connection very unstable. It also didn't bridge to the other network for reasons i was unable to discover and resolve. My flat is about 550qsft and theTalkTalk unit gives me full strength in the furthest point - the Google unit wouldn't even connect in the same spot! Disappointed is an understatement. It is packaged and going back for refund :-(Read full review...

Expensive but a seamless WiFi experience

Small attractive box. Very easy to set up, and add additional WiFi points. Makes it simple to get whole house/garden coverage. I have three of these, two weren't quite enough for a four bed house and garden. Can be monitored and controlled from an app on the phone. Only downside is the price, hence eBay!Read full review...

Older version but excellent

I have 5 of these now in my large and strangely shaped house. We now have 3-bar coverage everywhere including the garden office and the garages. Not sure if the new version connects to the old so these older models are running at a premium on eBay.Read full review...

It’s ok.. bit expensive for WiFi in 2019.

Bought this for my flat, large flat. My sky hub WiFi was not very good regarding signal and download speed.
This google hub gives strong download speed at all times,. I would say the WiFi signal is ok.. 3/2 bars in the flat with still good downloading speed. Works around the outside of my flat garden etc.. 1 bar max.. But still has strong downloads!!

I would buy another couple, but due to them expensive.. I’ll wait till the price drops. Lol...

If you have like me, sky hub with poor WiFi download etc.. buy a google WiFi. (Note.. don’t forget when you plug it in to your sky hub) make sure you turn off the WiFi on the sky! Or the WiFi will get confused

Very clever

the biggest reason to buy this unit is the clever channel switching. Its intelligent, and actually does what its meant to compared to any router (especially one given by your ISP). Its not powerful, but can make your signal powerful because it reduces traffic and interference from your devices and external factors. The setup is easy and the app is excellent. If you want to stream to lots of devices you will need more than one ideally. Bare in mind this made for those that want a extremely simple setup. Only one ethernet output, and no advanced networking facilities. Read full review...

Easy to use

Just works, that is the conclusion of using Google WiFi.
Easy to setup and there is a ton of gadgets and apps to connect if you are interested in that.
I have setup a IFTT that tells me when my kids are arriving at home and you can connect Google WiFi to Phillips smart lights and many more.
Give it a try...

Better than the newer model

This is my second mesh Wi-Fi system in a year, and to I had to swap out my ubiquity "gamer edition" as I wasn't getting close to the 300mb that I was paying for. With Google, I am getting much more constantly fast speeds, and haven't suffered any issues with reliability.

Google also has the added bonus of each node having an ethernet port, so my stationary machine is wired in, and gets super stable speeds.

Every zoom call/hangout/meet or other video call has been super stable, and everything is easy to manage in the Google home app.

Best mesh networking for your money

I bought it to improve the networking in my dorm, and it worked wonders. I have a 200/25 incoming connection, and I can achieve those speeds using WiFi, which is amazing to me.

The app allows for super simple management, and I'll be buying more to add to the other floors.Read full review...

Best WiFi mesh system I've ever used

This device was added to my existing 2, set up with no issues at all, seamlessly integrated and became part of the network, other than a power supply, no cabling needed. Effectively eliminated dead spots, with 3 of these our entire house & garden (including garage) are fully covered.Read full review...
