Cure for iOS boredom.
After 11 years of iOS, the switch to the 'purest' Android experience (with _the_ camera to still beat a year later) has been such a tech-culture shock that it feels like buying my first smartphone all over again. A great device. Not perfect, but can do virtually everything an iPhone can do and lots more. All the things it can do that an iPhone can't... I'm still discovering them after a month. Older versions work better!
My original Pixel 2 XL was purchased in Jan 2018. I am a heavy user and the phone served me very well, with regular updates of Android UI and Apps. The battery life was good until 18 months old, but then it started to deteriorate. I decided to replace the phone like for like, however the new version had all sorts of problems such as no back up option, headphones not working, speaker phone not working and no sound from alarms/phone calls/notifications. Did some research and it seems these problems are well documented within Pixel Forums. So disappointed as I have bought in heavily to the Google ecosystem.....Read full review

So fast and responsive compared to my previous phone. Exceptional standby time, and low consumption surfing or watching streamed media. Worrying about "blue shift".. haven't even once thought about it when using it. Seems to be very solidly built. Negatives: always bring a micro fiber cloth. Lots of fatty trails on the screen. Changing from Windows phone, I find the buttons should change place... Andoid is a little bit less transparent, in what the system does in the background, but it undeniable works better after just a couple days.Read full review
