Best Signal Antenna on the smartphone market!

Well, after a nightmare with my Samsung note 8, finding out afterwards that it has a design fault of a crappy antenna...after a lot of research...not easy to find on the subject of best phone which receives best Signal strength...the Pix 4a came up constantly as having an excellent signal receiving capabilities..
Well it certainly hasn't disappointed..where I got signal drop out on Samsung with same SIM, I get 2 to 3 of 4G bars worth.
the battery life is also very good, when you swipe down from top...it estimates battery life by telling you what time it at the best will last too...so say 7.15 tommor.
slick smooth OS very responsive and lighifast processor.
all in all Very impressive!

Excellent phone for an excellent price!

This is one of the first smart phones, I've felt really thrilled about buying and eager to use. I've had a few different phones over the years, but the Pixel 4a is by far my most favourite! I'd never really come across Google's Pixel phones before, until I came across a few reviews for the Pixel 4a. It has a very minimalist but sleek design, with a polycarbonate all in one body. It only comes in one colour, but it certainly looks smart in black. There's a handy fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, to unlock your phone as opposed to it being on the side of the phone (which a lot of the phones are now). It feels more natural having it on the back, than on the side. I've included some pictures I took with the Pixel 4a, to give you an idea of the quality of the shots and I'm really impressed! There's a lot of detail and colours in them, even for a single 12mp camera on the rear. There's also portrait mode, along with night mode to take brilliant pictures, even in low light. And I have yet to try the astrological mode, but it has the ability to capture the stars (providing the sky is clear). The rear camera is capable of full HD 1080p or 4k video at either 30fps or 60 fps. There's an 8mp front-facing camera, which takes pretty good photos too for those selfies, especially in portrait mode.

The user interface is very clean and easy to use, without any of the bloatware that can be found on other devices. It also comes with 128gb of onboard storage, which should be plenty of space for music, pictures and other bits and bobs.

One of the biggest things I like about this phone, is its size at 5.8 inches. I find it far better to handle and much more comfortable to use, than some of the phones out there which can reach a monstrous 6.7 inches! And a bonus is that it has a headphone jack... Hurrah! So no need for any adapters, just plug in your headphones and you're good to go!

I'd definitely recommend the Pixel 4a; it's a sleek, minimalist design with a great user interface experience and fabulous cameras to take those all-important snaps!

Great little phone

Didn't have a clue what to buy but was recommended by my daughter as she has one. Easy to set up even though I don't really know what I'm doing. I don't feel the need to carry a phone in my hand all day so like one this as it's smaller than some of the other phones so fits in my handbag without totally filling it up. The camera is great and easy to use. Charges up quickly and last well over a day. I did get confused when the description said it comes with a type C USB and bought a special adapter but actually only the end that goes in the phone is type C and the other end is type A so didn't really need to have bought the new adapter but that was probably me not really knowing much about chargers. All in all really pleased and will probably stick with a Google pixel if and when I upgrade which hopefully won't be for a long time.Read full review...

Amazing phone for the price

Excellent wee phone. I love the smaller size, it feels much more natural in my hand than most modern phones, but the screen still feels big as it covers so much of the handset. The screen is vibrant and detailed, better than my previous Huawei phone. The camera is absolutely amazing, and the biggest reason I picked this phone. Battery life is great so far, and the adaptive charging promises to keep the battery in good health for longer.

The stock android is fast, well-designed and easy to use. Everything feels so perfectly integrated and all works together. If you're a fan of the google ecosystem this is the perfect way to experience android.

At this price (£250) this is an absolute bargain! Highly recommended to anyone.

Great 'phone, one of the few smaller pocket size models

Excellent 'phone (as expected) evn though it's not a current model. Bought specifically as it's a smaller & more pocket friendly size. Very good battery life, very responsive in use, easy to see screen in quite bright light, excellent camera (though I've not tried all its functionality yet). Very easy to set up and transfer from old Android phone (but note not all transferred apps' data transfers with the app - despite full backup - so check all before deleting/ factory resetting old phone).Read full review...

Great phone for the money

I bought this to replace my old trusty Google Pixel2, which got damaged.

The phone does everything my old phone did - same camera, same stock Google experience. It also runs as fast as the Pixel2, if not slightly faster in some cases.

I only have 2 small gripes with it:
1. The battery life could be better. It's not the worst phone I've used, and is marginally better than the pixel 2 was when it was new, but some competitors phones are way better in this respect.

2. It's a bit slippery in the hand. I don't really like using phone cases, so this is a bit annoying.

Otherwise, I can highly recommend it.

Great phone. Very fast.

Bought the Google Pixel 4a. Great mid range phone (was £320). It is very fast and very good battery life. Graphics are fine and it produces great pictures and the sound equality is excellent. My only gripe is you need to order a new lead as a spare as my previous Samsung charging lead which seems to fit everything but does not fit this phone. Read full review...

Fantastic for Google fans

Fantastic phone if you are happy with Google and all his works (which generally I am). Only minor gripe is that, although I can add my non-Gmail email account to the built in Gmail app, it insists on opening with only the Gmail inbox (which I don't use) and I have to press twice more to get "all inboxes" displayed. There seems no way to get it to default to "all inboxes". This is getting close to Apple-like behaviour but it/s a small price to pay for an otherwise all-round good quality, high performance product.Read full review...
