Slightly better than most equivalents

I own 3 of these, but 2 are Tiger and Pulse stands, which are basically the same except for the 2 features that make this one better: 1) the bent ends of the laptop supports are much longer, meaning that it stops the laptop slipping down and 2) the hand-tightening knobs are much bigger so that you can really tighten them up properly, which is important on stands like these.

Be aware, though, that these stands are inherently wobbly - you can't do any real work, like typing etc. as the side-to-side wobble is too much. If you just need the laptop supported for a DJ gig or similar, it's fine.

The only downside is they are very stingy with the foam pads - you only get 4, where you really need 8 to do the top and the bottom rails. I solved this with some 3M small rubber feet on the bottom, which are actually much better and more non-slip.

It's alright....

I can't NOT recommend it, despite it not being the best product for the job. I am given to understand that this product USED to come with clamps - and the foam the parts come contained in seems to indicate that this was the case. I can tell you it would have been much better with the clamps. I don't know why they stopped making them with the clamps, because there are times when the stand wants to slide about and it's not great in that respect, but that said, it does take the weight of the laptop on it. No assembly instructions.

Great product, just what i needed to modernise my studio. Only one problem, there were No assembly instructions. I had to go on to the internet to look at a picture of the stand to see where the pieces go.
Apart from that a great product at a great price.

A little wobbly but perfectly adequate and good value for money

Easy to put assemble and dismantle and has a range of heights. The stand flexes a little bit when using a laptop but not enough to be a problem.

Solid, well built laptop stand.

Solid stand. very easy to assemble.

I work as a live sound engineer and come across a lot of DJ laptop stands, some decent, some downright awful. This one however is very well built for the money.

I wouldn't recommend assembling this in a dark nightclub for the first time during a gig though as some people here seem to have done. Assemble it at home and leave the screwed in base legs attached.

Comes with no instructions, but just look at a picture of it online.

Assembly hints: Make sure the base screws go directly down into the pre-tapped holes, screw them on an angle and they'll strip, they screw in very easily once aligned properly. Note: one set of holes on the base legs is tapped, the other isn't ) Add the sides, add the crossbars and you're done. Five minute job in the house.

Also comes with crossbar extenders for wider laptops ( see pic ) It's not obvious what these are at first.

Overall though I'm very pleased with this product, it's well built and solid. Would definitely recommend.

Overall, a good product.

For the money, the stand seems good quality. I had two minor issues being i) it didn't come with any instructions but I found a video on Youtube to help. Also they could perhaps use all-card packaging but like most suppliers, there's still a lot of plastic-type packaging instead. The product itself though is good.Read full review...

Good sturdy item

The stand is very good and solid. One problem though no instructions on how to build it. I hand to use the picture on the advert to use as a diagram.
