Smells strange, BUT WORKS TO HEAL MY FACE

If you have acne you have got to try this soap. I opened it up and thought , ugh no way , this stinks. BUT , i used it any way for a few days and my skin just started to heal. Works just like they say . Google , benefits of pine tar soap and you will see the info on this stuff and what it does. As for me, this soap was magic. Im 50 years old , and this is about the age we start to get that red nose , well this soap helped that. It calmed my skin down. You dont have to buy 100 bars , but at least give it a try. I hope you get the same results that i did.

Hate it.

Terrible. The smell is SO awful. I tried it for 2 weeks hoping it had some positive effects but it just made me and the whole bathroom smell terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if this is used as a deterrent. Read full review

Great 125 year old classic soap! My fave

This vegetable based soap has an amazing creamy white lather, it's fun to lather it up and watch it appear from the rich brown bar. it's very very mild, never stings like some soaps do, and deodorizes too. I love the unique fragrance too, which seems to disappear once you wash with it, in case you are not a fan of the forest pine tar scent. I have Sjogrens Syndrome, a seriously dry skin condition, and this works perfectly for me.Read full review

Grandpa's Soap Always Wonderful

I have used Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap for generations now. It has this fascinating, even tantalizing smell of pine needles burning in a forest and whether it is antiseptic or not (and I do not know if it is or isn't) I get the senation that it might be and I have to tell you that it really cleans really good and rinses easily. I use it for shower and for hair. My own Grandfather used this, my Dad used this and I use this. I highly recommend it because it is an old and iconic product,Read full review

Funky smell but great for sensitive skin!!!!

I have used this off and on since 1982 when my skin started itching from ANY soap and I don't know why but I picked up this soap. It was wonderful. I didn't itch so bad after getting out of the shower before I could get my lotion on. Just recently found it online and started buying it again. It smells sorta funky. Stronger than I remember but it doesn't linger after your bath. It is mild on your skin and I still love it!Read full review

Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap Is the Best!

I have used this Grandpa's pine tar soap for years, as well as Grandpa's shampoo. Fantastic products.

I had a friend who was having itchy skin and couldn't get rid of it. I recommended this soap, she used it, and within days she said the itchy skin was gone.

Give it a try; you cannot go wrong.

Great Product

This is a great product. I have been using this soap exclusively for 2 years. It works well for bathing, shaving, and better than any shampoo I have ever tried. Doesn't dry my scalp out like many shampoos. For the first time in years, I have no itching, flaking, or dandruff.Read full review

Have been using this a loooog time.

When I was about 11 years old I came home from school with a case of ringworm in the head hair. Mom scrubbed me hanging over the bathtub. Thought she was going to rub off my hair also. Tar soap killed the infection. That was over 65 years ago.

Also kills jock itch. Kills a skin rash. Diaper rash. Wash minor wounds with it. You name it, Grandpa is wonderful.

Grandpa Pine Tar Soap

Excellent product. Great for hair. Excellent for washing pets. Yes there is an odor, but wash second time with a scented shampoo and you're golden. It does not dry out the skin and is good remedy for minor skin conditions. Pine tar soap is hard to find in retail stores ... glad I was able to find it on-line. I've used this to wash long coated dogs for 30 years. It adds a wonderful sheen to the coats and takes care of that "wet dog" smell they can get. Like I mentioned previously, if you keep your pet inside, you'll want to wash a second time with a good, scented shampoo.

Best Soap I Have Ever Used

Grandpa's Pine Tar has been around a long long time and is used by many thousands of people who appreciate the wonderful things that natural vegetable pine tar can do for the skin. It is gentle on the skin, it does not dry out the skin, it has a truly manly fragrance that lasts. The after-feel of this soap is a feeling of super clean and fresh. I have used this product for years ... I am 81-years-old .... I highly recommend Grandpa's Pine Tar soap for an exhilarating bathing experience ... It works as a shampoo and a shaving soap also.Read full review

Odd smelling bar but actually works!

The bar & lather smells strong, some like some dont but once rinsed and dry you will not smell it on your skin or hair. Once my family ( wife, teen daughters & son ) tried it now it's the only soap we use. Clears skin like nothing I've ever seen and you feel cleaner than any other soap. Fantastic for acne , if your teens have pimples or black heads this will help sooooo muchRead full review
