Easy Replacement

I had to replace the circulation pump for my solar hot water system and this pump was an easy replacement of the old one (same brand) that lasted over 30 years. Very quiet.

May Last, May Not

Not sure how to rate this pump.
The one this replaced was only 8 years old, and on the basement zone that only got used half those years and only during the NJ winters.
I would have thought I would have gotten better longevity; bearings seized.
Then again, the up stairs zones uses the same pump and it has been a flawless workhorse for those 8 years.
Has three speed setting; which is nice, but only use the Medium setting.

Update 10 months later - the above noted replacement pump just died again

It is a standard Grundfos circulator. It was painted black insead of the standard red, leading to the possibility that it was refurbed. Dimensions are not the same as model ordered.

First I was surprised it was not the same color as advertised. The second thing is with the same model number I have and ordered it was 1/2 inch shorter than the original. Could be a problem installing if the pipes would not adjust to fit the space of the old pump. Read full review
