Great game

I love this game. Like they all say, it's the "best" GH songs, but for the whole band, which I think is very neat. The majority of the songs on it are my favorites, so that's a plus. The first two guitar heroes were the best in the series, and the majority of the songs are from those two games. The charts are a lot different in some, but very similar for others. New charts: good and bad. The venues are very original and unlike any others. A new feature is that it has some kind of storyline. This game is definitely worth getting, especially for any guitar hero fans.Read full review...

Guitar Hero Smash Hits

Guitar hero is so awesome, every one of their games have been great, Guitar hero Metallica is the best so far because it is my favorite band. I bought this because it was cheap and needed it because I only needed this one and Band Hero to complete my guitar hero collection, their is nothing I dislike about guitar hero and I suggest that anyone who likes guitar hero to get this one because it brings back some of their greatest songs that they have had on other guitar heros.Read full review...

The progression works, but it's very simple for this day and age. Why can't you customize a multi-person band?
7.0 Graphics
The animations are only passable, and while the visuals work well enough, they're nothing to write home about.
8.0 Sound
The song list is great, but some of the tracks have mixes that sound off and, in some cases, just downright bad.
7.0 Gameplay
We've played these songs before, though tackling them as a band is nice. The note structures and easier level of difficulty is not good, however.
6.0 Lasting Appeal
While it's still a great party experience, I can't score it higher here given that these tracks can't carry over, nor does your existing DLC. Where's the cross-game love?Read full review...

This is a great game never owned it personally but just bought it if you can get it under $30.00 then you should buy it. It has all the best hits from Guitar Hero 2, Guitar Hero 3, etc. on it which thats why they named it Smash Hits. This is a must be for any Guitar Hero inthusenist out there.
