Guys and Dolls find the right house of God

Guys and Dolls 1955 Lerner & Lowe written musical is both entertaining and spiritual as well as great musical score. Jean Simmons carries the movie and proves that Salvation Army people can win over any "hood" with love and perseverance. Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra are perfect foils for the Salvation Army to overcome evil (relatively speaking) with good. Lots of Biblical symbolism is included. A pair of dice can really lead to paradise if you roll the right numbers at the right time and please God with your faith to move mountains. Guys & Dolls DVD 2006 Deluxe Edition

In plain simple words, I LOVE this musical Guys and Dolls, and this Deluxe Edition DVD and 72 page booklet brought it home to me. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to see a show that makes you FEEL GOOD. It brings out all the emotions and best in you. The humor is irresistible; the music and dance scenes make you want to join in. The lead roles are great, and are supported by a wonderful cast of characters, period clothing and scenery. Great Musical, Middling Film.

This is a so-so production of a wonderful musical. The director stripped it of its original New York vibe and made it too "Technicolor Hollywood."

guys and dolls

guys and dolls is one of the old classics .
it has marlon brando and frank sinatra in it (how can you go wrong with those two actors).
this movie is beloved because of all the song and dance .r>i have watched this movie over and over again and will bewatching it again real soon (i never get tired of this movie),as its been my favorited movie since i was a little girl.
i used to watch this with my mom when i was a little girl its my fondest memory of my times with my mom.
my husband who never saw this watched it with me the other day and sat thru the whole movie (hes not to fond of watching long movies )but sat thru this one and really enjoyed the movie
i lve how they colorized this movie it really adds to the movie.
all the singing and dancing is so fun to watch,and (BRANDO) even sing a solo in this ( hes not bad ) but im sure old blue eye (SINATRA) could have done the solo better.but you gotta love brando for trying.
i think this is a must buy for your collection(expectially it you love old movies)

They Don't Make 'Em Like This Anymore!

The DVD Cover looked great, and the price with speedy delivery made this an easy choice! The Movie is a super classic with singing and dancing by the best of the best in the best hoodlum style! I loved the music and was surprised how many of the popular songs of the time actually came from this musical. I love the classic Good Girl VS Bad Boy love circle and I would rate this highly to anyone looking for a classic hoodlum style musical that turns out swell in the end ...this is it!
