I can't see how Hofner can make such a good quality bass guitar for this kind of money.

It's well made, it's stylish, it plays very well and it feels like a much more expensive instrument.

A good bass. Nice tone, well set up and comes with a quality gig bag. It is very light and easily transported. The only issue, easily rectified, is the balance. It is neck heavy. However by adding an extra strap to the headstock and attaching it to the normal guitar strap buckle this problem is easily overcome. Strap locks would also be useful.
