HAYWARD Inground Swimming Pool Automatic Suction Side Cleaner DV5000

This vacuum works great, I got better results by NOT using the pressure regulator that came with the vacuum that should be installed inline a couple hoses back from the vac itself, I am using the hose weight to keep the angle correctly for maximum performance and that varies from pool to pool on placement of the weight, as far as proper suction goes, I just used the tapered adapter for the hose and plugged it in to the skimmer and then applied how much pressure I needed by turning the valve on how much the vac needed to move properly around the pool. As far as the pressure regulator goes from Hayward it seemed to weight the hose down making the vac push it around like added unnecessary weight, although it may work for your pool conditions, I just found it unnecessary for mine, but overall it does get the job done, pool vacs are something you have to spend a little time with in order to get them balanced correctly with proper water pressure and weight placement will get you maximum performance, good luck.Read full review

hayward cleaner dv 5000

This cleaner is cheap, it doesn't work to well, it flips upside down. I have a hayward pump, almost new, the thing will not clean unless it is on the quick clean setting. When you try to lift it outof the water, the hose comes off and the ciircular object to keep it from getting wedged comes off. Read full review

Great Product

Its works really great, moves around pool and cleans bottom very well. Occasionally it does get stuck in corners and the ring on top comes off.

Not worth the trouble!

If it would work with my pools circulation system that would be a starter.
The parts and their purpose is definitely not clear from the instructions. I feel the instructions are very poor.
The main problem seemed to be water flow. The pump would indicate 'no flow'.Read full review
