The Head Instinct Tennis balls were for sale at £2 a 4 ball can.
I have played with these balls for 5-6 hours they really fly,very hard to control but I think they would be great in the winter in damp conditions.

Bought the balls for our dog. They have proved to be a lot tougher than the "tennis" balls you buy from pet shops and do not burst open with a few bites. She is very pleased with them.
