Extremely reliable drives and a good value that lasts a long time.

HGST has to be one of the best HDD made. I have bought them when they were an independent company and they were bought out by Western Digital in Oct 2013, who is phasing them out and identifying them as HGST drives. The Ultrastar and Deskstar drives which were HGST drives will be labeled as Western Digital Ultrastar and WD Deskstar. Read full review

HGST is a true winner for storage needs.

Inexpensive relative to SSDs, astronomically so..perfect storage as mechanical drives have a proven record and best for data recovery..not so much with SSD yet.

Far much better that Western Digital
