Delighted with it.

I wanted the versatility that a chop/mitre saw combined with a table saw offers. I am no professional, just a DIYer, so did not want to spend a vast sum of money on something that will only be used for occasional projects. The TK305 seemed to me to fit the bill and be considerably cheaper than its competitors. I am delighted with it. For a start it's very well made (probably in China although the company is Austrian). It is quite heavy, but then it's not meant to be lightweight and with a 12" blade and 2K Watt motor, it's pretty powerful. Most importantly, it cuts well, both straight and mitre/angle cuts. It has a small battery operated lamp that illuminates the work, so 3 AA batteries are required if you want to use it. I wouldn't call this lamp essential, but it's handy. I must admit, not being an expert, I struggled a bit with the conversion from chop to table saw. The issue for me was that the manual that comes with the saw is pretty much useless. It must have been written by a Chinese engineer living alone on an Austrian mountain. The photos in the manual are just ghostly shadows of what could be anything and, as the wording is so peculiar, they are of no use whatsoever. But that's just the manual, so it meant I had to work things out for myself. One thing that it lacks is a laser line. That would have been the icing on the cake. So, to sum up - the only things that let it down are the manual and the lack of a laser. However, the price is very very competitive, the build quality excellent, it comes complete with all you need and it cuts extremely well. Would I buy another one now I have some experience with it? Definitely yes. Read full review

In the bin

Possibly the worst power tool I've ever bought. I've just put it in the bin after only 5 months.

The mechanism for switching between table saw and mitre saw is extremely difficult to work out in the first place then it just doesn't work after about the 10th time I've used it.

I bought this because it didn't appear be cheap rubbish, it actually turned out to be expensive rubbish.
