needs a delicate wigggle but works.
Does the trick but a bit worrying that it would be too tight when attempting to fit. It has a mettle layer to the socked for the oven dial's rod. Whereas my original, that snapped, didn't. As I pushed it on there was a lot of resistance after the 1st 5mils or so and I was worried I'd break the oven and push the rod-bit into the oven. So I wiggled in a tiny bit more then left it a day. The next days wiggled and gently pushed again each day and it was all the way on within a week. With that metal bit i doubt it'll snap like the original either, so where I though it might only be worth a few quid, the 10 I payed shud last forever - it best do!Read full review

Overall it was OK really
Unfortunately in seeking quickly for a replacement oven knob I realized that both types were grossly overpriced but I did'nt want more hassle so just went for the slightly cheaper one - at £9.49!! As I suspected, even evident on the photograph, it was a poorer quality of finish than probably the more expensive one - but delivery was excellent so I was pleased with that.Read full review

Invest in genuine parts
These knobs are definitely not authentic. They're very cheaply made, dirty, not well cut, have sharp edges, don't even properly replicate the original knobs, and above all, don't fit the oven they're meant to fit onto. Mine is a Lamona LAM3204 and they're slightly too small to fit onto the pins. I'm sure you can tell the difference between the originals and these from my photos (cheap left two, originals right two).Read full review

A cheap copy
This is not a Howdens original, it is a copy and doesn't match. The impression is not the same as the original and the rubber ring insert fell apart when I fitted it. A cheap copy at a very expensive price for a plastic know. It is being sold as an original and is worth 12p not nearly £12. Rip off.Read full review

A good replacement.
This is better than the original because it has a metal insert in the shaft that will prevent it splitting like my original did. The only downside is that it is a very tight fit on the spindle, I had to sand that down in order to slide the new knob on but no big deal.Read full review

Perfect item as described
Nicely packed and promptly sent. Good quality item which is more robust than the cooker knob it is replacing. Thanks.
