Had one before - wanted another

I bought this model because I had the HP 5610 All-In-One for over a decade and I broke it by using too much force to unjam paper misfeed. Should've read the instructions. I won't make that mistake with this one - I expect this one to last a decade or more. I decided to get the same model because I have nearly two dozen black and color ink cartridges - didn't want to squander my investment.

Good Price, Clear Quick Copies, Faxing Difficulties

The machine was easy to setup, printing and copying was pretty simple.Nice crisp printing and copying in color or black & white. Sending faxes worked well through the paper feeder but lost clairity when using the flatbed scanner. Receiving faxes with this machine will not work with all fax machines, I received some error messages and page drops when testing it with an older Panasonic KX-FHD351 fax. It has small ink cartridges that don't store a lot of ink for multiple copies and they can be hard to find in local Ohio area office supply stores. I could only find the ink cartridges in two packs which of course is double the price.

The best printer for the price!

I decided to buy this printer because I was tired of having a seperate printer, copier & fax machine. I wanted an all in one. I did some research and found that for my money the HP Officejet 5610 was the best bang for my buck.It is under $100.00 in the stores and the ink is around $15-$17. The only thing I really don't like about it is that you have to manually change the ink configuration every time you print to fast draft. If you don't change it then you will be replacing ink cartridges every time you turn around. I recommend this printer to anyone who wants to get rid of several machines and have one to take up less space. I haven't had any problems with mine. I love HP products and this printer is just another in a long list I think are great.Read full review...

The HP OfficeJet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I was looking for a total solution to replace my scanner, fax and printer in my home office environment. Winning a refurbished 5610 was the best answer to my situation. The refurbished all-in-one carries the same warrantee as a new unit but is significantly less expensive. It installed in a matter of minutes and was straight-forward to operate.

I do have one dislike and offer my suggestion as a product improvement to HP. Normally, I turn off all my office equipment when finished. It is necessary to leave the printer powered up at all times to receive faxes. There should be a stand-by mode using minimum power. When receiving a fax, there is plenty of time during the initial rings to bring the 5610 out of standby, receive the fax, print it and return to stand-by. Not what I expected..

So far so good.Item was listed as refurbished, but so far it has stood up to every test I can try..I can not give it an excellent rating because I really have not used it to print photos yet..I love the quicknes of the print & the clarity..It is a little loud when operating compared to other printers I have owned..Other than that I love it..I bought this brand because I have had so much trouble with Lexmark..(It seems as though they have began taking "short-cuts" in building their printers) Out of the last three lexmark printers I have purchased two have been returned & one is now in the dumpster...So HP is my "new" brand..Read full review...

Good value for home use

This model is 8 years old but sturdier and longer lasting than today's models . Does not provide wireless connections or two-sided copies and uses rather small ink cartridges (HP-56 and 22) but has all other features needed for home use.Read full review...

I have only had this printer for a few weeks and it is soooo easy to use and I really like all the features. Installation was a breeze. I would recommend this product to anyone. Perfect Home Office All-In-One

I needed an all in one for my home office and bought the HP5610. This was one of the easiest printers to use and set up that I have ever used. I really like being able to scan documents and save them as PDF files. The print quality is excellent and the ink doesn't seem to run when it gets wet like other printers that I have had. I also like that it can use a unique ring tone so I don't need a to spend the money on a totally separate phone line.

Multi-purpose machine that does what you'd want it to do. No complaints!

I really like this printer...my Dad has the exact same one, and I found it easy to use, intuitive, no need for a manual, so since I wasn't happy with my current printer, I thought I'd look for one like his. It is a printer/copier/scanner/fax all-in-one. Takes a couple of different ink cartridges which are usually on sale somewhere. It is a bit noisy, but seems fast enough for me. I especially love the scanning capability. It's fairly compact which is nice. It was a very good deal on eBay. I just love it!Read full review...

HP OfficeJet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Extensive reading of instructions is required if you do more than just print from your computer, scanning and copying require a reduction to do anything. :( Have not tried the fax part of it but only time will tell.

On the downside, the carriage rail is rather noisy as well as the paper feed but if you can get pass this, this printer is awesome! Very fast even on the color side of printing!

Definitely would recommend this printer even with it's downsides.Read full review...
