Sum up in a few words? WORK HORSE! :)

I have this laptop, bought it on eBay, slapped a Crucial 128GB SSD in it, loaded Ubuntu 16.xx LS, and it's pretty FAST, but I don't game :)

ALSO, there are a lot of comments about size, and/or bulkiness. Well, in it's heyday this must have been one of the smallest and lightest, because it really is, AND it still has a DVD ROM!!!!

It's just under 2" tall when closed and not much bigger than the actual screen in width. I am honestly shocked to see people complain about size and weight, seriously. But, it's not the sexiest laptop, it's very square and plain, but I'm telling you, it's a workhorse! :)Read full review...

You get what you pay for. Works great, but.........

It serves it's purpose. Upgraded to Windows 8, which I am not a fan. It's all over the place. I needed a quick replacement for my laptop and this HP fit the bill. Missing the luxury of a webcam and a bunch of other stuff I am used to having, I would rate it as ok. If you can deal with an older laptop without the frills, and you are on a budget,then this is for you. It's heavier than most newer notebooks and I would not suggest buying it if you are looking for something with more than 2 hours battery life. Other than that it operates fine for checking email,surfing the net, Facebook, etc. which is what I use it for. Perfect for grandma or grandpa, or maybe a spare.Read full review...

Notebook was as discribed on Ebay. It arrived very quickly. I was happy to see it was packaged very well. The unit looked as though it was brand new. I do not think mine has a mark on it. Even the touch pad is clean looking. I plugged it in it came right up. Everything about it was fine. I will admit its not as fast as some but about average for the processir it has. I did add Memory to it so mine is now operating much better. I will say it was ok the way it was for just basic emails and such but I am pushing it a little harder and so far so good. I did purchase new Windows 7 software so my license is current. Thats the only suggestion I would make. I'm just a beginner so for me its just fine.Read full review...

Old now but still good

My husband hates change so I bought him a new old computer. He's familiar with it so he is happy that the keys don't stick and it's faster. Saved me a lot of money on the new ones.

Excellent computer fast easy to use Very easy controls to figure out and upgradeable.The Laptop looks to be quality made.

I would not buy another one this way

It's worth $100.00 tops but the battery's never hold a charge, most dealers keep the good batteries and put warn out ones on these so plan on paying for a bat.. Sound cards are weak and usually require external speakers the screens are poorly lite and it's hard to see this particular screen, it's a little hazy.Read full review...
