HP 3478A is a good value 5 1/2 digit DVM
The 3478 is a classic example of HP instrumentation. The lcd display is a little hard to read in dim light. It’s only weak part is the internal backup battery which needs replacing every 10 years. Lose power and the DVM loses calibration. Aside from that they are very reliable.Read full review

Very Highly Sot After And Hard To Find Full Working Ones, I Changed The Long Life Battery On Mine As These Batteries Could Give Up At Any Time And Would Render The Meter Useless As It Is The Backup For The Calibration Data On The Chip And They Are Well Past There 10 Year Life Span.
