Great old device with fast poweron!

I bought this device to write on a full button keyboard with "real keyboard feel".
My aim was to be able to write anywhere, on the train, bus, wherever.

And for that purpose it is perfect. I can turn it on in less than a second, and immediately write.

Pros:
Almost instant power on!
Real keyboard just big enough for workable writing comfort and speed
Very long battery life even if it has got an old battery, we are talking weeks in standby and 8h+ writing time

Cons:
No modern connections available, only CF card which is somewhat outdated.
Screen backlight takes a while to get to full brightness (but that is mostly not an issue)Read full review

Meet my trusty companion.

HP Jornada 680 is a very well engineered device. Windows CE 2.11 aka Handheld PC Professional Edition (Version 3.01) running on SH3 CPU rated at 133 MHz. Must have been great back in the days. It still a works like a charm today. Very nifty. It's my trusty little companion now. I bring it with me wherever I go. I can pen my thoughts at anywhere and anytime (well, almost).
