At last a smartphone worth the name.
The phone has exceeded expectations, more a mobile computer than a phone. I like it because I can do what I want with it and am not tied to what the manufacturer has decided I'm allowed to use it for, I'm looking at you fruity one.
To date I've not had any problems with the phone. The only minor issue is battery life but that is the nature of this sort of technology.
I bought it secondhand as I couldn't justify the price buying a new one.Read full review...
HTC Desire
This phone is all I expected it to be, having read all the reviews prior to purchase. It provides a reliable service, signal is as good as any other phone I have owned in the area I live, while many complain about the battery life it is no worse than I expected and can last up to 3 days with light usage, I don't have loads of Apps installed, just a few I use regularly. TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
The phone is quite simply unbelievable. I am not very technical at all but I have managed to teach myself and I am certain I will never find out eveything it can do. Have driven my family and friends mad by showing them YET ANOTHER APP!! Have converted a couple of " Iphone" fans too. Like all the reviews that I had read it truly is a match for the iphone and is lots of ways even better. Battery life is as expected but downloading a TASK KILLER has improved it dramatically plus I purchased a spare HTC battery and a dual battery charger from Amazon so I always have a spare one in my bag. Just been blown away by the whole "DESIRE" thing and have to wonder how did I ever manage before without it.

really good phone
it is a good phone, small memory, 578 MB, it has really good features, it is like an iPhone but much cheaper. it could be used as small laptop or PDA
The iPhone just pips it
Having upgraded from the htc hero, the desire was lightning quick and the screen super clear. The android system makes it feel that the possibilities are endless. But I must confess that I only used the phone for 2 weeks. I was given an iPhone 3GS and then wrestled with which I should keep. For intuitive use and usabilty the iPhone just edged it for me. The screen on the desire was better, the camera was better and the processor faster but somehow it just wasn't enough.Read full review...

Wanted an Android phone that could do everything an iphone could with out the apple logo.
Brilliant easy to use very customisable. Havn't found an app you can't get on android yet.

Awesome mobile phone!
I absolutely had to upgrade my phone after a disappointing contract upgrade through Vodafone that I was tied into for 2 years. Sold that crummy Vivaz on envirophone and bought this HTC Desire after reading so many positive reviews with not one bad word to say. It has been one of the best phones I have owned. Fast and accurate touch screen. Vivid colours and loads of Apps, free or to buy. I would say that the battery does not last long and the camera was recently upgraded on the new version but I got a good deal on e-bay for this spec of hardware. Having a USB charger offers up loads of ways to charge. If you have your cable then no one is far from a laptop or PC these days. USB charger for the in car cigarette lighter are cheap as chips on e-bay too so no need to buy expensive branded chargers. Get the latest version for that better camera and you will not be disappointed.Read full review...

I bought this HTC Desire about a month ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on the phone. My only complaint is that I find the battery life very bad, although it is made worse by having the Wi - Fi turned on all the time. This is ok if you carry a charger but can cause inconvenience at times. All in all an impressive phone and would buy again tommorrow.Read full review...

I bought the HTC Deisre five or six weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 2 days. I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.Read full review...

I love this phone. My first Smartphone. I had to do some homework with regards it's potential and abilities but it was well worth it. I don't think there's much it can't do. It's a real pleasure to use, a great phone plus all the gizmo's.
It's well worth getting an unlocked phone and put it on a great ( cheap ) network like GiffGaff. Brilliant.Read full review...
