Compact and light.

As with all tripods, there's a bit of a compromise between weight and stability, and this one works the compromise very well. Its realty quite compact and light weight, (which means you're more likely to carry it with you), yet is sturdy and has some good features. The only time I found this not as stable as I would have liked, is when it's extended to it's full height, but it's still far better than trying to hand hold a camera.
The head is solid and resistant to movement whilst giving plenty of articulation. The centre post is reversible for even more functionality. At the top of each leg, there's a catch which releases the leg to open it wider allowing a very wide and low set up. The centre post has a removable hook on the bottom where you can hang your camera bag, which both adds weight and stability to the tripod and keeps your bag of the ground at the same time.
All in all, this is a very functional, light weight and well made tripod which can be found at a very reasonable price. Certainly worth paying a little extra for over the cheap less sturdy, less adaptable tripods I've used in the past.
Highly recommended.

Good lightweight tripod

Light and compact: good when you need a portable tripod. Wouldn't use it for long exposure work, but that's not what it was bought for. Not as light as carbon fibre, but way cheaper
