Halloween (DVD, 2018)

Finally A Great Classy Sequel!

This movie finally brought myself and husband out of mothballs to go to an actual movie theater after 9 yrs. We are not fans of most modern movies loaded with CGI effects etc. The reason being knowing both Jamiie Lee and John Carpenter were on board I trusted it would be not some trashy rehash like the Rob Zombie remakes. I knew both those I mentioned had class and would keep the basic vibe that way. The story starts rolling pretty much right away with action and follows the whole way thru. There of course is the killing in there tho not gross and disgusting. The story is what carries the movie. Showing just how such a traumatic experience would/can effect a persons entire life and soul. Laurie is a survivor and one tough broad. There are also bonus features on the making of it which I really enjoy watching. In this movie it actually looked like fall in the midwest aka my only issue with the 1978 version. It is late fall in IL and everything is green and lush circa 1978 one. Never got that part. The music score is freaky as hell and will do a review on the CD too!!I Won't give away the basic story as a spoiler but I think it will be a classic in its own right too. You will have to get beyond all of the sequels that followed as some things don't mesh. Like where was John aka Jamie's son from H20, no mention of Jamie the little girl either. I definitely give it a super rating tho in all ways and Jamie is such a classy lady and very proud to be considered a Scream Queen. The best one ever !!!Read full review

This was not the actual DVD release of Halloween (2018). No special features, and is definitely ripped from an online version -- very upset I didn't get the REAL DVD.

This is the real deal not a burned dvd. Wrapped in plastic & even has the special features & extras. Can’t beat it for the price. As for the movie, I’m a horror fanatic & Michael Myers fan so I loved the movie plus with the new Halloween Kills out I had to have this one which is the 2018 movie. 5 stars all the way around from me!👍Read full review
