There is now a switch - rather than the upper lip that catches the mixing container - for on, off, and two speeds. This makes it easier to use, not more complicated.

Not as good as the old cast-iron malt shop and bar machines. Works ok for a China knock-off. best to shop around fort the best price,though. Handy for making protein drinks and mixed drinks and doesn't take up too much valuable counter space. Back to the days of yesteryear, what a great bit of nostalgia, not to mention ease of handling. Awesome Hamilton Beach Milkshake Machine ROCKS!!!
A really great product. I'm very happy with my purchase. My wife is too. Since getting it I have made old fashion, diner quality, milkshakes almost every evening for both of us. Of course, good as this product is, it's not the same size as the machines found in restaurants, diners and soda fountains. The stainless steel cup is smaller as well, and I have to make two milkshakes to get the same amount as would be served in a commercial establishment. That said, I'm very happy with it. I highly recommend this product. The seller also shipped it immediately and it arrived much sooner than I expected. When they say, "2 to 3 Day Shipping" they mean it. Another plus!Read full review
