Pleasantly surprised!

I am no stranger to the Harry Potter series, but thought that I would complete my collection with one of the original books. My book arrived around one week before it was due but unfortunately had one or two loose/missing pages. I made this know to the Pete and Claire and they very kindly sent me another copy that I am pleased to report is perfect. They invited me to keep the damaged copy- which I consider a bonus!
Book-wise, it is a very powerful and compelling novel- my favourite in the series in fact. The plot is strong and the characters are fantastic. On the whole, a brilliant well,written book.Read full review...

better the second time

Bought for my son who is reading the series, read myself when it came out, he was half way through order of the phoenix so I picked it up, 12 years and a movie version later, I took the time to enjoy it, not racing to the next revelation, just perfect story telling, I have since read The deathly hallows, which I was underwhelmed by at the time, 10 years later reading them back to back I would rate both 10 out of 10.Read full review...
